AI-driven, echo-free news
Most news and social media sites track every story you read and every link you click, then feed you a steady stream of similar stories. Why? To keep you there longer to show you more ads. While great for ad revenue, it produces an echo chamber effect, where people see a narrower and narrower view of the world.
People's beliefs are based on the facts and persuasive opinions they encounter. If both are constrained to those similar to ones they have seen before, they can lose objectivity. Worse, they can begin to think that others who don't share those beliefs are nuts, when in fact, each just may be dealing with different sets of facts, fertilized with significant doses of opinion.
We think this is a problem.
So we've designed a different sort of news site, one that doesn't capture and track your viewing history. Instead, we aggregate news from lots of sources, and use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to sort and present them based on how frequently every topic is covered by all these sources.
If you want to see how specific sources are covering the news, you can select those sources, and compare them. Or if you only care about certain sources, or certain topics, you can select just those. And if you want your browser to remember those settings, it will - but the information is privately stored on your browser where no one else can see it.
In summary, we're:
Private. We don't collect any information about you or track the stories you read;
Simple. We make it easy to select your news sources, pick your news categories, and see the spin different sources put on the news;
Customizable. Use the menu at the top to customize the sources and categories you'd like to see - or select News Pulse to see a continuously updated, AI-generated list of the top stories from scores of sources.

News Source Political Bias Tags
One of the things you can do with NewsJust4Me is compare how different news sources present the news.
To that end, we utilize the media bias ratings generated by MediaBiasChart.com to tag most of the major news sources with a color code. Following current social convention, we use:
a light blue shade for news sources deemed to be left-leaning
a light red (pink) shade for news sources deemed to be right-leaning
a white background for news sources deemed to have a center perspective
